چکیده

p ATIENTS with acquired auto-immune hemolytic anemia associated with a decreased red cell production have been reported by several authors.1-5 We have observed such cases among patients with acquired auto-immune hemolytic anemia due to incomplete antibodies of the warm variety. There have been many reports6 ’ suggesting the sensitization and damages of erythroblasts in the bone marrow by anti-erythrocyte antibodies. Recently Yunis and Yunis1#{176}have demonstrated A1, A2 and B receptor on orthrochromatic and basophilic normoblasts. These results suggest that anti-erythrocyte antibodies not only sensitize circulating red cells but also exert some cytotoxic effects on nucleated red cells in the bone marrow. However, little attention has been so far directed to the localization of anti-erythrocyte antibodies in the bone marrow and their effect on immature erythroid cells. By means of the P31-labeled antibody method, the in vivo localization of heterologous anti-erythrocyte antibodies was determined in the rat bone marrow. The effect of anti-erythrocyte antibodies on the proliferative capacity of nucleated red cells was studied in vitro by the incorporation of tritiated thymidine.

Evidence for the in vivo localization of heterologous anti-leukocyte and anti-bone marrow antibodies in the rat bone marrow.

T HE PRESENCE of leukoagglutinins has been well known in several diseases, suggesting their possible roles in the mechanism of immunoleukopenia in man.12#{176}It is generally believed that leukoagglutinins sensitize circulating leukocytes intravascularly. However, little is yet known on the effect of leukoagglutinins on immature granulocytic cells in the bone marrow. It is well established that...

بررسی اثر امواج مایکروویو نشت یافته از اجاق مایکروفر بر سلول های مغز استخوان موش صحرایی نر بالغ و نابالغ

Introduction: Increasing hematological diseases along with increased use of microwaves in different systems proposed possible correlation between them. Age of exposure to wave is also an important factor. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of radiation leakaged from microwave oven on hemopoitic bone marrow cells at pre and post pubertal. Methods: Fourteen male mature (2 months old...

Effects of Arbutin on Radiation-Induced Micronuclei in Mice Bone Marrow Cells and It's Definite Dose Reduction Factor

Background: Interactions of free radicals from ionizing radiation with DNA can induce DNA damage and lead to mutagenesis and carsinogenesis. With respect to radiation damage to human, it is important to protect humans from side effects induced by ionizing radiation. In the present study, the effects of arbutin were investigated by using the micronucleus test for anti-clastogenic activity, to cal...

Bone marrow stromal cells and their application in neural injuries

Background: This article reviews experimental and clinical studies in which neural injuries repaired with bone marrow stromal cells. History: Bone marrow contains two kinds of stem cells: hematopoietic and nonhematopoietic (stromal) stem cell. In vitro studies indicate that bone marrow stromal cells have the capacity of differentiation into other cells (such as neural cell) under treatment wit...
